Light is the principal medium, both in small-scale works (cubes) and in larger vertical works which are intended to resonate with the central axis of the human body. The works present volumes and lines of light in optical polarities – planes become void, spaces become light-volumes and lines of light become ‘floating light-lines in space.’ Their elemental geometries are realised through high-precision engineering using refined materials – polished metals, gold plating, mirrored glass, acrylics – and often new and innovative technologies. They channel natural light to produce intense light-lines, which look electrically sourced, but are not.
